yeah, it's absolutely foul and the timing is clearly political. i take heart from the knowledge that he's in serious trouble, and this is a desperate attempt to revive his popularity. fortunately, the issue seems to have less traction here - fewer crazy christians and fewer gay people who give a fuck about being married, i think.
